Open Water Scuba
Openwater scuba courseThe class includes a minimum of 36 hours of instruction. 14 hours in the classroom and 12 hours in the pool, with an additional 8 to 10 hours of open water training. The certificaion card you receive after having completed all requirements will list you as a Open Water Diver (PADI, or NAUI)

Classes will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00-9:30pm in Hudson. This course includes six class and pool sessions (Enclosed & Heated). Ages 12 years old or older in good physical health and comfortable in and under the water.
The cost is $180 for YMCA facility/program members and $200 for non-members payable to the YMCA. This includes use of scuba equipment, six class room and pool sessions in an enclosed & heated pool.
Your personal equipment, mask, fins, and snorkel are not included but can be purchased at a discount from your instructor.
The class includes a minimum of 6 hours of instruction with an additional 6 to 8 hours of open water training. The certification card you receive after having completed all requirements will list you as Advanced Open Water Diver (PADI,YMCA, or NAUI)
Classes will be held on weekends. Saturday begins with academic instruction and ends with an advanced navigation, search & recovery, and night dive at Weeki Wachee Springs. Sunday begins with a deep dive (100 ft) and ends with a low visibility dive in Hospital Hole on the Weeki Wachee River. You must be a certified Openwater Scuba Diver to participate in this course. Ages 12 years old or older in good physical health and comfortable in and under the water.
The cost is $200 for all books, vessel and dive site entry fees. Nitrox certification training may be added for an additional $70.00 (this includes nitrox fills and nitrox c-card)
Personal equipment required is mask, fins, snorkel, light, bcd, regulator, weights, compass. If you do not possess all gear required, necessary gear can be purchased or rented at a discount from your instructor.
